First, I am thankful and humbled for the gifts and talents that our Lord God has given me which includes my beautiful family.
One of my utmost passions is to "create". I enjoy it and it gives me peace. As an educator, I try to expose students to the many gifts and outlets that "art" can be for a young person along with instilling problem solving skills, independence, sensitivity and appreciation.
Born in western NY and studied at SUNY College at Buffalo I received my BS and MS in Art Education. Like Asher Roth, "I Love College" and before I left I nearly had a BF in Printmaking and Art History. I was coached up and ready to go out and teach and make a mark on my students.
With that kind of focus I started neglecting my own need to create and I eventually ended up while going to grad school learning how to tattoo thanks to a very generous man and tattoo shop owner named Rob Ferguson. I made a lot of my own art but much of it was lost or ruined (flood in the basement where my studio and portfolio was at the time). There wasn't a cloud when I got started so files and pics of hundreds of artworks/painting are lost something like MySpace was novel and edgy when I began photo documenting my tattoos and artwork. Anywho...
I love teaching in the Cleveland area of Johnston County, NC. I love painting for myself - which most of the time ends up being for my wife. I love painting and creating artwork for friends I have met down here - which most of the time ends up being my wifes friends or coworkers.
